The Blyth Cowbell Brewing Co. is a destination craft brewery located in Blyth, Ont. It proudly commits to various accessibility and sustainability initiatives. For instance, Cowbell operates on a closed-loop system and recycles the water it uses in production. It also claims to be the first carbon neutral brewery in North America.

I created this quick tour video as a component of my integrated media story “Crafting Community.” It isn’t meant to tell a story itself, but rather is supplementary media to the overarching story about the craft beer industry in Southwestern Ontario.
The Cowbell facilities are stunning. I figured it was an ideal brewery to film a walkthrough at, which also added value for my audience—particularly if they’re trying to gauge whether it’s worth the trip up to Blyth, Ont.
The whole video is shot on an iPhone. Some clips were filmed with a finicky gimbal and others were simply handheld.
